We are honored to continue the tradition that Shaker Workshops started by supplying premium quality Shaker Tape at a great price, to chair makers, weavers, artists and hobbyists!
Custom dying our tape to match original Shaker colors and patterns allows us to offer rich solid colors and elegant striped patterns. Our Shaker tape is heavy-duty 100% cotton canvas webbing, available in 5/8" and 1" widths, and priced by the yard.

Wondering how much tape you need to order? For reweaving any given chair, the following formula works well:
First, measure the front rail between the posts, in inches. Second, measure straight across from the center of the back rail to the center of the front rail, in inches.
Multiply these numbers together.
Divide the resulting figure by 9, and that's the total number of yards of 1" tape required. For 5/8" tape, divide by 5.3, rather than by 9.
If you want to use two colors, order half the total number of yards per color.
